Catherine is a third generation painter. Trained at Falmouth and Winchester Schools of Art, she has exhibited her work from an early age. Her main discipline is painting but she uses etching and other art forms to support her exploration into her relationship with the sea and landscape.

Catherine has had a lifelong passion for the sea and sailing, continuing the family tradition of seafaring.

The work is abstract in essence but comes from close observation and immersion in a particular place.

Catherine has exhibited with some of the country’s most respected galleries including The Great Atlantic Galleries - Falmouth and St Just, Strand Gallery - Aldborough, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition - London, Milton Gallery - Barnes, Stour Gallery - Shipston-on-Stour.

Catherine is now selling most of her work on line where it can be seen on her website and at her Annual Exhibition at the Michael Ruh Studio in London as part of the Dulwich Festival.

Locally her work is shown regularly at The Old Coastguard in Mousehole, Julia Mills Gallery - Newlyn and The Roundhouse Gallery, Sennen.

Dear Catherine, Just to say : thankyou for sending the catalogue to me. It just confirmed what I know, which is that I adore your paintings
