Neil has worked full time as a painter now for about twenty years having first trained and worked as a  designer and illustrator, his first solo Exhibition was in 1998 at Trelissick Gallery with shows in Falmouth and Marazion in the same year .
Neil has had at least two solos a year since then in various Galleries in Cornwall, Bristol, Bath and London amongst others.

Whether looking at St. Michael’s Mount, at clouds sliding across the sun, at an assemblage of found objects, or at himself, there is a deep-seated integrity in all he does. Indeed this is a collection of paintings which holds together so well that it ought to be purchased as a single lot and kept as a whole in perpetuity as a tribute to the artist.”
