DAVID COTTRELL
David is a 'studio painter’. He works from drawings producing large paintings on canvas and small works on panels. The principle subject has been 'the figure' and 'Heads'. He seeks a ‘credible imperfection’ and beauty in the transient. David has a BA(Falmouth) and ‘Masters’ Degree(Newcastle) in Fine Art. He is a member of Newlyn Society of Artists and a ‘Discerning Eye’ prize recipient and other awards.
